Essex police encourages people to go online to make non-emergency reports, instead of calling 101, so that they can focus efforts on 999 calls and continue to respond to those immediately at risk.
By going online, you will be able to report anti-social behaviour, request information about yourself or others, advise about something you have seen or heard, or ask to talk to someone about an existing case you are involved in or report you have made.
Essex Police (Chelmsford District)
The Chelmsford District Community Policing Team has a Facebook Page where updates are posted on a regular basis. Followers can send an email from the Facebook Page directly to the team.
Anti-Social Behaviour
If you witness anti-social behaviour, please report it to the police in the first instance as above. We would encourage anyone affected by anti-social behaviour to report the incident themselves. It is important that all affected individuals/households register their views and people do not assume that as long as someone has informed the Police, that is sufficient, as in most cases it will not be.
The ASB reporting service is built around a set of 5 core forms:

The system will triage reports, providing advice to members of the public at each step. It looks for opportunities at each stage of the reporting process to signpost to other agencies where appropriate and where necessary will guide the reporting person to the online reporting tool that will enable them to report the matter online.
The police are more likely to be able to take action if information is received from multiple sources and can be corroborated. It can take time to build a picture regarding anti-social behaviour and sometimes other agencies may need to be involved.
