Norwich to Tilbury Pylon Consultation

National Grid has launched a further consultation regarding its proposals which are to build approximately 184 km of new electricity transmission reinforcement between Norwich and Tilbury. This will be made up mostly of overhead line and pylons, along with some underground cables and a new 400 kV substation.

This further consultation opens on 10th April 2024 and closes on 18th June 2024.

As well as the website, there will be some face to face consultation events where you can go along and view the  proposals as well as speaking to someone from the organisation.

The closest face to face events are at the following times and venues

Saturday 27th April at the Chelmsford City Racecourse from 11am to 4pm

Tuesday 14th May at Witham Public Hall, Collingwood Road, Witham from 11am to 4pm

Also hard copies of all the consultation documents will be available to view at Chelmsford Library.

 

There will also be an online webinar for the proposals for the Chelmsford and Braintree areas on 5th June from 6pm to 7pm and to attend you will need to sign up on the website at the link below
